Police Saturday questioned a man who ran naked from a home in Compton where a teenage girl and a man were shot and killed and a woman wounded.

Authorities responded to a rescue call at 6 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of West Palmer Street, according to Detective Tony Moore of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. When deputies arrived, they found the man and girl both suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, Moore said.

The woman who was wounded had been shot in the upper torso, police said. She was transported to a hospital in unknown condition.

“My sister was shot twice,” Taylor Murrell, the brother of the wounded woman, told reporters at the scene. “My niece is dead and (my sister’s) husband is dead. (My sister’s) husband’s son shot them all.”

A man was detained by officers, Moore said.

“That was the person described by witnesses as running out of the house naked,” sheriff’s Lt. Joe Mendoza told NBC4.

A handgun was recovered at the scene, but a motive for the shooting was not available.
