A 17-year-old girl was killed and three other people were wounded in a shooting in front of Compton businesses, authorities said Monday.

The shooting was reported about 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of North Long Beach Boulevard, Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.

All four victims were taken to hospitals where the teenage girl was pronounced dead and the two adults and a second juvenile had stable vital signs, Koerner said.

No further victim information was available and no suspect information was available.

The shooting was about a mile south of where a man was shot to death about five hours earlier in the 1500 block of North Long Beach Boulevard.

Anyone with information was asked to call sheriff’s homicide detectives at (323) 890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (8477).
