Police in Garden Grove Wednesday sought three men suspected of robbing a cellphone store.
Officers responded about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday to the Metro PCS store in the 12800 block of Haster Street and were told three men, including one who flashed a gun, had just robbed the business, according to Sgt. J. Centeno of the Garden Grove Police Department.
An investigation determined the three men had entered the store and asked about cellphones and the suspect armed with a gun removed it from his waistband, showed it to the employee, then returned it to his waistband, Centeno said.
Two of the suspects went into the back stockroom and took a large amount of cellphones and opened a cash register and took the money, Centeno said.
The suspects fled the store on foot and were last seen walking southbound on Haster Street, Centeno said. Officers searched the area, but were not able to locate the suspects. The employee was not injured during the robbery.
Detailed descriptions of the suspects were not immediately available.
Anyone with information about this incident was asked to call the Garden Grove Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Bureau at (714) 741-5800.
