A man was shot in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles and later died at a hospital as police searched Thursday morning for the shooter.
The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday near Beverly Boulevard and St. Andrews Place, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
“We’re told that it looks like they had words at the very beginning and the suspect approached in an aggressive manner,” Lt. John Radtke of the LAPD’s West Homicide Bureau told NBC4. “At this point, all we know is there was an unknown dispute.”
The victim ran into a liquor store and asked employees for help, NBC4 said. The employees called 911 and paramedics arrived and took the man to a hospital, where he died.
A detailed description of the suspect was not immediately available.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has security video from the area of the shooting was asked to call the LAPD’s West Bureau at 213-473-0277.
