A 21-year-old man is scheduled to be arraigned next week on charges of pimping a girl, beginning when she was 15, in Anaheim, according to court records obtained Monday.
Isaiah Amonte Johnson was charged Thursday with three counts of human trafficking of an underage victim, two counts of pandering a minor older than 16 and one count each of pimping a prostitute younger than 16, pimping a prostitute older than 16 and pandering a minor younger than 16, according to court records.
Johnson has a prior robbery conviction in Los Angeles County in 2014, according to court records.
According to a motion to increase Johnson’s bail, a Santa Ana detective was called to Orangewood Children’s Home in Orange where a 16-year-old alleged she was being pimped by the defendant for more than a year.
Investigators set up a sting on Instagram in which the detective posed as the victim, according to the motion. The defendant allegedly admitted the crimes in the online conversation with the detective, the motion alleged.
Johnson is scheduled to be arraigned in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana on Feb. 8.
