A man was stabbed in Lake Los Angeles in the Antelope Valley and later died at a hospital, authorities said Wednesday morning.

Deputies responded about 9:30 p.m. to the 41700 block of 156th Street East and located the victim, who was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

A news photographer at the scene reported that a woman was arrested at the scene and a knife was recovered.

The names of the victim and woman reportedly taken into custody were not immediately released.

The circumstances that led up to the stabbing were not disclosed.
