A man suspected of getting out of a pickup truck in Boyle Heights to shoot and killing a man in his late 50s was at-large Saturday morning.
Officers responded at 12:30 p.m. Friday to a shooting at the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Concord Street, according to Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The suspect fired multiple shots at the victim, who was on a sidewalk, then got back into the vehicle and was last seen heading east on Pico Boulevard, Madison said.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
There was no word on whether the shooting was believed to have been gang-related.
A detailed description of the shooter was not available.
