The search will continue Tuesday on land and in the water for a Colorado woman who suffers from depression, flew to Los Angeles and abandoned her rental car on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, authorities said.
The sheriff’s department planned to look for 30-year-old Jennifer Michelle Lorber in the water and on land from the Westward Beach/Point Dume area south to Paradise Cove, where her rental car was found, Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.
Lorber arrived in Los Angeles on Thursday and was last seen about 11 p.m. staying at a motel in the 22000 block of Pacific Coast Highway, detectives said.
Her rental car, a white 2018 Toyota Rav4, was found at 11:15 p.m. Saturday parked on Pacific Coast Highway at Paradise Cove Road, Koerner said.
Lorber suffers from depression and her family is concerned about her, detectives said.
She is white, 5 feet 1, 100 pounds, with long brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on Lorber’s whereabouts was asked to call Sgt. Mike Rodriguez in the Sheriff’s Department’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500 or 911. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
