Investigators were searching Thursday for the adult son of a 62-year-old woman found stabbed to death in a condominium the pair shared in Garden Grove.
Vivian Wolff was found dead about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday inside a room she was renting and sharing with her son in a condo in the 14000 block of Flower Street, said Garden Grove police Lt. Carl Whitney. She was last seen alive at 9 p.m. Saturday, Whitney said.
There were no signs of a break-in, according to Whitney, who said a family friend found the body and called police. The victim had apparently been dead for about 24 hours, he said.
Police were looking for her 28-year-old son, Jonathan Michael Warner, who has not been seen since Friday, and is considered a “person of interest” in the killing, Whitney said.
“We’re trying to find out where he is right now. We want to talk to him and find out if he knows what happened to his mom,” the lieutenant said Wednesday.
Warner is white or Hispanic, 6 feet tall, about 165 pounds, with short, possibly shaven brown hair, brown eyes and a medium build. A picture of Warner in the Orange County Register shows him wearing braces and a stud in his left ear lobe.
Anyone with information on the crime was urged to call police at 714-741-5786 or 714-741-5810.
