A woman who allegedly rammed a parked car with hers at a Hollywood taco stand while numerous bystanders captured video of the incident surrendered to police Thursday and was arrested on suspicion of vandalism, police said.
Amber Rose Darbinyan, 24, turned herself in at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Station about 10 a.m. Thursday. She was being booked on suspicion of vandalism, the LAPD reported.
Video of the early morning incident on Aug. 24 shows a woman involved in a confrontation with one or more people and then getting into a Mercedes-Benz and ramming another car in reverse multiple times before driving away.
“We’re probably looking at a vandalism, maybe a battery charge at this point,” Darbinyan’s attorney Jose Romero told reporters outside the police station. “There were objects — or an object — thrown at my client, assuming it was her. I’m not saying it was her; allegedly it was her.”
Romero was asked by reporters if the incident was a publicity stunt.
“You’re asking me to read the mind of someone,” Romero sadi. “I’m not a mind reader. I think it was too real — too emotional — to be staged, to answer your question.”
Romero said people outside of the taco truck targeted his client because of her social media personality.
