A 36-year-old man accused of fatally beating his older brother during a dispute near Hemet pleaded not guilty Tuesday to a murder charge.
Timothy Anthony Condoluci of Hemet allegedly killed 41-year-old Michael W. Condoluci, also of Hemet, on the night of July 10.
The defendant was arraigned before Riverside County Superior Court Judge Becky Dugan, who scheduled a felony settlement conference for Nov. 8 at the Banning Justice Center.
According to sheriff’s Sgt. Rick Espinoza, the victim was attacked shortly before 10 p.m. at a residence in the 26000 block of Green Avenue, just south of Highway 74, in a community just east of Hemet known as Green Acres. Patrol deputies were called to the location to investigate reports of an assault and found Michael Condoluci with unspecified life-threatening injuries, he said.
The victim was taken to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley, where he died about four hours later.
Timothy Condoluci was questioned by investigators and arrested at the scene.
A possible motive was not disclosed.
The defendant, who has no documented prior felony convictions in Riverside County, is being held in lieu of $1 million bail at the Robert Presley Jail in downtown Riverside.
