A 29-year-old Sylmar woman and her three children, ages 9, 6 and 5, were missing Tuesday and police — fearing she may have been kidnapped — asked for the public’s help in locating them.
Officers responded to a home in the 13600 block of Fellows Avenue about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and found a possible kidnapping may have occurred at the location, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Detectives asked for help finding the woman, Liliana Lopez, and her children, Jakob Cabrera, 9, Steven Matthew Lopez, 6, and Linda Lopez, 5.
Liliana Lopez is 5-feet-2 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds with blonde hair and brown eyes, police said.
The father of at least two of the children, identified as Esteban Lopez, 28, was also being sought by police. He is 5-feet-8 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds with a tattoo of “Lopez” on his chest, according to police.
Neighbors told ABC7 Esteban Lopez was partying at the house on Fellows Avenue on Saturday night, but the other members of the family were not seen.
Police identified two possible suspect vehicles:
— a 2007 dark gray Lexus IS, four-door, California license plate number 7JOM377; and
— a 1996 lifted White Chevrolet Tahoe with black rims, California license plate number 3RSR716.
Late Tuesday morning, police reported that the Lexus had been found, but the Tahoe had not, and there was still no sign of the family.
Anyone with information on the case was asked to call LAPD Detectives Arroyo or Chamberlain at 213-486-6840. Anonymous tips can be submitted to L.A. Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or lacrimestoppers.org.
