Police Monday asked for the public’s help in tracking down two suspects in a suspected gang-related shooting in Long Beach that left one man dead and another injured.
Officers responding to a shots fired call about 5:35 p.m. Sunday found one of the victims on a sidewalk in front of a residential complex in the 2300 block of East 14th Street with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Long Beach resident Bradley Meas, 32, was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Officers found the second victim in the courtyard of the apartment complex with a gunshot wound to his lower body. He was also transported to a local hospital, where he was treated and released. His name was not released.
The two victims were with three others, who escaped injury, on the sidewalk in front of the building when two men approached on foot and one yelled something, then opened fire, police said. The assailants then fled on foot, but no suspect descriptions were released.
Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact homicide detectives Sean Magee or Leticia Gamboa at 562-570-7244.
