It took 33 firefighters 24 minutes to put out flames in an L-shaped strip mall in Wilmington Thursday, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 3:35 a.m. at 100 E. Opp St., Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.

The fire extended into the attic of the structure and involved contents of one unit, Stewart said. Firefighters contained the damage to the one unit.

An incident commander requested an LAFD arson investigator for the investigation,” she said.

No injuries were reported.
