New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman was arrested for suspicion of vandalism in Beverly Hills after he jumped onto a vehicle, causing some damage, police said Sunday.
The alleged vandalism occurred at approximately 9 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of North Beverly Drive, near Wilshire Boulevard, said Beverly Hills Police Lt. Elisabeth Albanese.
“Edelman was released on a citation and scheduled to appear at the Airport Courthouse on April 13, 2020,” Albanese said.
Edelman, 33, earned Super Bowl MVP honors in last year’s 13-3 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. The Patriots were eliminated from this season’s playoffs last weekend, losing to the Tennessee Titans.
According to the entertainment website TMZ.com, Edelman ate dinner earlier Saturday evening at the Beverly Hills Cantina Frida, where he was photographed with former NBA star Paul Pierce and fellow NFL receiver Danny Amendola.
