A man and woman are in custody Friday for their alleged involvement in an illegal gambling operation in Long Beach, which police raided.
Detectives with Long Beach Police Department’s Vice Investigations division served a search warrant about 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of East 7th Street near Cerritos Avenue in Long Beach’s North Alamitos Beach neighborhood, according to Shaunna Dandoy of the Long Beach Police Department.
Detectives seized an undisclosed amount of cash and four illegal gambling machines, and arrested a man and woman allegedly involved in the operation, Dandoy said.
Anthony Noun, 55, of Signal Hill, was booked for keeping gambling premises, among other charges, and was being held on $20,000 bail, Dandoy said.
Roseanne Yonn, 45, of Long Beach, was booked for accepting wagers and being held on $20,000 bail, Dandoy said.
Detectives also detained two other adults and cited them for gambling, Dandoy said.
