An 85-year-old man was arrested for allegedly killing a motorcyclist in a hit-and-run crash in Corona, and police Saturday continued to investigate the death.

The crash happened on Wednesday when Brenda Richardson, 48, of Eastvale was heading west on River Road and collided with an eastbound vehicle that made a left turn in front of her at Kalus Avenue, according to the Corona Police Department.

She was thrown off her motorcycle and died from her injuries at a hospital the following day.

Tashiro Isa was arrested about 4 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of Rebecca Way — just down the street from where the crash occurred — as officers examined his 2006 Lexus ES330 for damage, police said.

Isa was arrested on suspicion of felony hit and run and vehicular manslaughter.

A GoFundMe page set up by Richardson’s husband to help with funeral costs says she was a U.S. Navy veteran and “the most loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, co-worker, and so many other things to everybody she knew.”

Anyone with information regarding the crash was encouraged to contact Officer Jason Gardner at 951-817-5784.
