
One person was shot Saturday near Jim Gilliam Park in the Baldwin Hills, authorities said.
The shooting was reported at 7:09 p.m. in an alley in the 4000 block of Coco Avenue, according to a dispatcher in the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
Fifteen to 20 shots were reported with people screaming and running, the dispatcher said. There was at least one victim.
A news videographer at the scene said one male was wounded in the lower body.
