A person was fatally struck by a Metrolink train Tuesday in Santa Fe Springs.
The Orange County Line 688 train, which runs from Los Angeles’ Union Station to Oceanside, hit the person, who was in a non-pedestrian area, at 5:23 p.m. near Rosecrans Avenue and Marquardt Avenue, according to Scott Johnson of Metrolink.
Multiple Metrolink trains were delayed or canceled due to the collision, Metrolink reported.
Whittier Police Department is handling the investigation, Scott said.
