A man suspected of committing a string of convenience store robberies in Anaheim and other north Orange County cities was arrested, authorities said Saturday.
The arrest came after Anaheim police posted on Twitter surveillance footage from some of the robberies, said Anaheim police Sgt. Shane Carringer.
A clerk at a Fullerton liquor store had just watched the video Friday night when a man who looked like the suspect walked into his store, Carringer said. The clerk called police and the suspect left, but the clerk got the license plate number of his vehicle, the sergeant said.
The vehicle was followed into Fullerton but Placentia police made the arrest, officials said.
Details, including the man’s name and booking information, were not immediately available.
