A 38-year-old Pomona man was arrested Wednesday evening on drug and gun charges after authorities served a search warrant at his home.
Officers with the Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Task Force served the warrant at a townhouse in the area of Country Mile Road and Carriage Way about 7 p.m. after receiving tips of guns and drugs being in the residence, according to Sgt. M. Medellin.
The suspect, identified as Felix Alvarado, was arrested following the discovery of guns, including an assault rifle and high capacity magazine loaded with several rounds of ammunition, and methamphetamine, Medellin said.
Alvarado was booked into the Pomona city jail.
