An “Endangered Missing Advisory” was issued Monday in California to help find a 12-year-old boy who was last seen in Burbank after he was believed to be taken by his mother in Colorado.
Liam and his 31-year-old mother, Nikki Sweezey, were last seen in the 3300 block of North Glenoaks Boulevard, near the Golden State (5) Freeway’s Cohasset Street underpass, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities believe Sweezey took Liam on Friday, prompting an Amber Alert to be issued in Colorado on Saturday, according to local reports.
The exact location he was taken from was not released, but the California Highway Patrol issued an alert on behalf of the Aurora Police Department for San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego and Imperial counties on Monday afternoon, then to Kern, Kings, Tulare, Fresno, Madera, Merced, Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Sacramento, Yolo, Colusa, Glenn, Sutter, and Butte counties on Monday evening.
The two may be traveling in a light blue 2010 Honda Fit subcompact with Colorado license plate number BVV937, the CHP reported.
Liam is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a green shirt and green shorts, according to the CHP.
Nikki Sweezey is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 160 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a burgundy shirt and black pants.
Anyone who sees Liam and Nikki Sweezey were encouraged to call 911.
