A motorcyclist who suffered fatal injuries when he struck a tree in Riverside was identified Monday as a 35-year-old man.
The solo-vehicle crash that killed Frank Escalera of Riverside was reported about 4:30 p.m. Sunday on Victoria Avenue near John Street, according to Riverside police Officer Ryan Railsback.
According to Railsback, Escalera slammed into the tree after losing control of his motorcycle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene about 20 minutes after the crash, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office
No one else was injured in the crash, which shut down Victoria from John to McAllister streets for several hours.
