A Metrolink train from downtown Los Angeles to San Bernardino fatally struck a person on the tracks in Baldwin Park Thursday afternoon.
About 2:30 p.m., train 312 struck the victim in a non-pedestrian area underneath the San Bernardino (10) Freeway, about 100 yards from Francisquito Avenue, according to Metrolink’s Paul Gonzales.
The coroner’s office responded, and tracks were reopened at 5 p.m., Gonzales said.
No information was released about the victim.
