A teenage boy opened fire on two teenage girls Saturday in La Quinta, although nobody was injured.
The shooting was reported about 3:45 a.m. in the 47000 Block of Dune Palms Road, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. William Fiebig.
Fiebig said a 16-year-old boy drove by in a dark-colored car and opened fire on two girls, ages 14 and 15, before speeding away.
Both the shooter and targets were Hispanic, he said, although additional information about the crime was not provided.
The 16-year-old shooter was gone by the time deputies arrived, he said.
