Authorities Monday identified the victim of a fatal weekend crash on the Eastern Transportation Corridor (241) toll road in Anaheim.
Michelle Stanford, 52, of Indio, was killed in the crash, which was reported at 6:26 p.m. Sunday in the northbound lanes of the 241 just north of Santiago Canyon Road, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s-Coroner’s Department.
Three others in the 2003 Toyota Sequoia Stanford was driving were also hurt, including a child who was taken to Children’s Hospital of Orange County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The ages and names of the passengers were not immediately available.
Stanford was driving about 80 mph in the left lane when the vehicle collided with a 2016 Nissan Versa driven by 53-year-old Nicole Martin of Riverside, who was also injured and was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center.
The Toyota overturned and ended up in the center divider while the Nissan veered to the right and slammed into a guard rail on the right shoulder, according to the CHP.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
