A commercial building in Historic South-Central Los Angeles was damaged by fire Thursday morning.

Los Angeles firefighters responded to the 2600 block of South Broadway, near West Adams Boulevard, about 1:30 a.m. and encountered flames shooting from the building.

About 80 firefighters needed about an hour to extinguish the flames.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
