A woman suspected of being armed with a rifle led officers on an approximately 20-minute pursuit in Alhambra Tuesday evening.
Officers received a call at 8:24 p.m. about a woman allegedly loading a rifle into a red vehicle in the 100 block of Waverly Drive, in a residential area south of Main Street, according to Lt. Tai Seki of the Alhambra Police Department.
Officers located the vehicle and attempted to pull it over about 8:30 p.m., but the woman failed to yield, Seki said.
Officers pursued her to the area of Huntington Drive and Stillwell Avenue, where she pulled over the vehicle about 8:50 p.m.
The woman was arrested and her male passenger was being detained, according to Seki.
A gun was recovered from the vehicle, but Seki could not confirm that it was a lethal firearm and said it is possibly a BB gun.
