A 50-year-old Placentia woman who fell off her bicycle in Huntington Beach over the weekend died of her injuries, police reported Thursday.

Wendy Cendejas crashed her bike about 6:30 p.m. Saturday on Warner Avenue, west of Sceptre Lane, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Officers found her bicycle in Warner Avenue’s eastbound lanes, and Cendejas was on the roadway nearby. Investigators believe she was riding eastbound on Warner Avenue and then made a left turn into traffic and fell to the ground.

She was taken to UCI Medical Center, where she died on Monday, according to police and the coroner’s office.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing, and police urged anyone with information to call the Huntington Beach Police Traffic Investigator D. Demetre at 714-536-5670.
