The U.S. Postal Service is hiring in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, with mail handler, carrier and clerical positions immediately available, it was announced Friday.

The agency said both seasonal and permanent positions are available in the Inland Empire.
Assistant rural carriers, holiday clerk assistants, mail processing agents, temporary carriers and truckers are needed.
The pay ranges from $16.55 per hour at the low end to $19.64 at the high end, starting out, according to the Postal Service.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, pass a drug screening and criminal background check. They must also be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, officials said.
