Two men in their 20s were shot, one fatally, in the unincorporated Florence-Firestone area near South Los Angeles Monday afternoon.

The shooting occurred about 1:40 p.m. in the 1900 block of Nadeau Street, near Bell Avenue, according to Deputy Armando Viera of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

A man between 20 and 25 years old, who was sitting in his vehicle, was found suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body, Viera said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his name was not immediately released.

A second victim, who is 20 years old, was shot in the leg and taken to a hospital, where his vital signs were listed as stable, according to Viera.
