A person in a vehicle was killed in a head-on crash in Gardena at the end of a police pursuit that left two suspects hospitalized, it was reported Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Artesia Boulevard and Western Avenue, according to NBC4.

The suspect vehicle ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle, killing that vehicle’s driver, the station said.

The driver of the suspect vehicle and a passenger were taken into custody, then taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

No further information about the victim in the other vehicle was immediately available.
