A man and woman sitting in a car in the Westlake District were wounded in a shooting Wednesday morning.

Officers responded about 1:15 a.m. to an area near Wilshire Boulevard and Little Street, where the victims were located and taken to a hospital, according to LAPD Officer Lizeth Lomeli.

The unidentified victims, both in their 30s, were sitting in the backseat, she said.

The vehicle’s driver tried to move away after the shooting and crashed into a parked vehicle, CBS2 reported.

The male victim was in critical but stable condition and the woman had stable vital signs, authorities said.

Police did not release a description of the shooter or shooters or comment on a motive.
