A man was found shot dead Saturday in an unincorporated area near Huntington Park.

The death was reported at approximately 7:12 a.m. in the 7600 block of Santa Fe Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies from the sheriff’s Century station dispatched to the location on a rescue call reported finding a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Arriving paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, said Deputy Alejandra Parra of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

No further information was immediately released.
