A man is in custody on suspicion of fatally stabbing his 52-year-old father with a kitchen knife in Torrance, police reported Tuesday.
Officers were called about 4:20 p.m. Sunday to a home in the 4500 block of 231st Street, near Anza Avenue, where they found the victim suffering from a stab wound, according to the Torrance Police Department. Jesus Lee died at the scene, according to the coroner’s office.
Police said they were not releasing the name of the victim’s son, nor did they release his age, due to “pending follow-up investigation and potential identification from witness(es).”
An investigation revealed the two were involved in a “disturbance” earlier in the day, and after leaving the home for a short time, the son allegedly returned, “armed himself with a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim,” according to police.
He fled before officers arrived, but was quickly located and booked into jail on suspicion of murder, according to the department.
