
A vehicle crashed into a home in Paramount Tuesday morning, killing the driver.
The crash occurred about 1:10 a.m. in the 16600 block of Downey Avenue, near Harrison Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies arrived at the scene and found the driver trapped in the wreckage. Los Angeles County Fire Department crews were called and freed the driver, who was pronounced dead, the sheriff’s department said.
There were people inside the home at the time of the crash, but no injuries were reported.
A preliminary investigation determined speed was a factor in the crash, the LASD said.
The age, gender and name of the victim were not disclosed.
