A high-speed pursuit went to Moreno Valley, in San Bernardino County, Saturday evening after an East Los Angeles sheriff’s deputy was struck by a car driven by suspects fleeing a traffic stop.
The attempted traffic stop occurred about 7:30 p.m. in the East L.A. area, said Sgt. A. Gonzalez of the East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station. The exact location and reason for the traffic stop were not immediately available.
The California Highway Patrol continued the pursuit which included an attempted PIT maneuver that damaged the rear of the dark-colored sedan on a surface street. It ended around 9 p.m. when the suspect pulled the damaged car into the driveway of a Moreno Valley home, according to CBS2.
The deputy struck by the fleeing suspect was not injured except for a complaint of pain, said Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
