A 47-year-old woman fatally struck by a vehicle in Santa Ana was publicly identified Saturday.

Reyna Bravo Cristobal was believed to have been homeless, according to the Orange County coroner’s office.

Cristobal was crossing First Street west of Bewley Street when she was struck by a westbound vehicle on First, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.

Officers dispatched to the scene just before 7:50 p.m. Friday said the motorist remained at the scene to cooperate in the investigation, and that alcohol did not appear to be a factor.

Paramedics rushed the woman to a hospital, where she later died.

The department’s Collision Investigations Unit urged anyone with information about the crash to call them at 714-245-8219.
