A 21-year-old woman was arrested in connection with a burglary at a Newport Beach private school where 16 Apple iPads were stolen, authorities announced Thursday.

Newport Beach Police Department officers responded to Harbor Day School at 3443 Pacific View Drive, at about 7:50 a.m. on March 17 on reports of a burglary and discovered that two classrooms had been broken into, according to department Press Information Officer Heather Rangel.

Kayla Evette Johnson, of Moreno Valley, was arrested in connection with the burglary and several of the stolen iPads were recovered, the Newport Beach Police Department announced Thursday.

An investigation into the burglary is ongoing and police are searching for a second suspect.
