A 15-year-old boy remained hospitalized in critical condition Monday after suffering a gunshot to the head on Mother’s Day in Indio, and police urged witnesses to help find the assailants.
The gunfire was reported about 4 p.m. Sunday in the area of Daisy Street and John Nobles Avenue, according to Indio Police Department spokesman Ben Guitron.
Police responded to a shooting report and found the injured boy at the location. Detectives learned that multiple suspects fled the scene in a four-door sedan.
The boy, whose name was withheld, was taken to an area hospital suffering from injuries described as serious. Guitron said the boy remained it critical condition as of Monday evening.
