The woman was run over by a 2010 Scion XB driven by a 27-year-old Los Angeles man. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police, the LBPD reported.
The woman died at the scene. While it’s possible the victim was homeless and seeking shelter under the blankets, officials could not confirm that she was homeless. Her name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
