Police are seeking a vehicle wanted in connection with the fatal hit-and-run crash of a bicyclist near the Little Armenia community of Los Angeles, authorities said.
The crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m. on June 22 and involved an eastbound Chevrolet Camaro striking a bicyclist pedaling southbound in the west crosswalk of Melrose Avenue, at Normandie Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Paramedics rushed the bicyclist to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The motorist driving the Camaro drove away from the scene, without identifying themselves or rendering aid to the bicyclist.
The vehicle was described as a white, two-door 2019-21 Camaro with a black convertible top.
LAPD West Traffic Division detectives urged anyone with information regarding the fatality crash to call them at 213-473-0236 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
A reward of up to $50,000 is available to anyone who provides information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
