Dallas real estate developer Bill Hutchinson, who stars in the Lifetime unscripted series “Marrying Millions,” pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges that he sexually assaulted two 16-year-old girls at his Laguna Beach vacation home.
The 63-year-old Highland Park, Texas, resident was charged last Friday with one felony count of rape of an unconscious person and five misdemeanor counts of sexual battery, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. He was arraigned Tuesday at the Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach, and pretrial hearings were scheduled for July 20 and Oct. 22.
Hutchinson, who is free on $100,000 bail, is also facing a charge of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in his Dallas-area home, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. It was unclear if that alleged victim was one of the two he’s accused of assaulting in Laguna Beach.
Hutchinson maintains his innocence, according to his attorney, Jacqueline Goodman.
“My client, Mr. Hutchinson, is not guilty, and we look forward to having our day in court where he will be fully vindicated,” she said Friday.
Hutchinson, who is listed in the criminal complaint by his given name of William Lewaled Hutchinson, surrendered to Texas authorities last Wednesday and released on $30,000 bond there, according to Orange County prosecutors.
The two teens went on vacation with the defendant at his Laguna Beach residence in April, according to prosecutors, who allege he raped one of them while she was asleep. When asked to return with him in May, the alleged rape victim declined and he took the other girl, at which point he molested her, prosecutors allege.
According to the criminal complaint, Hutchinson is accused of attacking one of the girls between April 1 and April 5 and again between April 11 and April 30, and the other between May 30 and June 2.
