Tustin police officers responding to a call of a suspicious man at a mobile home park Monday shot and killed him after he got out of bushes and advanced on them, police said.

Tustin Police Department officers were called to the Saddleback Mobilodge at 15401 Williams Ave., near Main Street, at about 10:05 a.m. and found the man in bushes in front of a mobile home, according to Sgt. Matt Nunley.

The officers administered first aid to the wounded man until paramedics arrived and took him to a hospital, where he died.

The man’s name was withheld pending notification of his next of kin.

The Tustin Police Department and “an outside agency” will investigate the shooting, Nunley said.
