Authorities Tuesday publicly identified a 69-year-old man who was fatally stabbed in Compton and whose 59-year-old sister was arrested on suspicion of his murder.
The fatal stabbing was reported at 12:19 a.m. Friday in the 14000 block of South Harris Avenue, according to Deputy Alejandra Parra of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Information Bureau.
Arriving deputies found Benny Ferguson unresponsive inside the home with apparent stab wounds, Parra said.
Paramedics took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:35 a.m., she said.
Ferguson’s sister was arrested Friday morning and booked into the Century Regional Detention Center, Parra said.
