Authorities Tuesday publicly identified four children and their grandmother who were killed in a Lancaster home in a shooting allegedly committed by the children’s father, who was arrested.

The shootings were reported at 10:27 p.m. Sunday in the 3500 block of Garnet Lane, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The children’s father, Germarcus David, 29, was arrested later Sunday when he walked into the sheriff’s Lancaster station. He was booked on suspicion of murder in the deaths of his daughter, his three sons, and their grandmother, the sheriff’s department reported. He was being held on $2 million bail and could appear in court as early as Tuesday.

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office identified the dead as: Ericka England, 51; Namyiah David, an 11-year-old girl; Noah David, 1; Kaden David, 2; and Germarcus David Jr., 7.

Each of the victims was shot in the upper body, according to SIB Deputy Tony Moore.

Anyone with information on the case was asked to call homicide detectives at 323-890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
