A man in his 20s was stabbed to death during an argument with another man in a Lancaster park Thursday.

The stabbing occurred just before 3 p.m. in American Heroes Park in the 700 block of West Kettering Street, between Sierra Highway and 10th Street West, according to Deputy Miguel Meza of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, Meza said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released pending notification of his next of kin.

The suspect ran from the park. The weapon has not been found, Meza said.
