A $5,000 reward for information related to the fatal shooting of a 44-year-old homeless man in Huntington Beach in 2014 was announced Wednesday.

Tyrrell “T-Rex” Rathbun was shot and killed in an alley in the 200 block of Memphis Avenue, near Lake Park, at about 11 p.m. on May 10, 2014, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Detectives investigated the shooting and interviewed over 100 people of interest, though no arrests have been made.

The HBPD and Orange County Crime Stoppers announced Wednesday a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects who shot Rathbun.

Anyone with information on the shooting was asked to call the HBPD at 714-375-5066 or Orange County Crime Stoppers at 855-847-6227.
