Two women were taken into custody in South Gate Wednesday evening after leading authorities on a pursuit in a stolen truck.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies began pursuing the women in the dark-colored pickup truck in the Pico Rivera area just after 9:20 p.m., according to the department.
The women led authorities through Downey and Bell Gardens, at one point running over a spike strip and blowing out at least one tire.
The truck came to a stop in the area of Walker Avenue and Florence Avenue just before 9:35 p.m. and the women quickly surrendered to police.
They were taken into custody without further incident. No further details were immediately available.
