Riverside police asked for the public’s help Tuesday identifying a man who attacked a girl at a park on the south end of the city.

The assault happened about 2:25 p.m. April 15 in the Orange Terrace Park Community Center, located on Orange Terrace Parkway, just off of Trautwein Road.

Officer Ryan Railsback said the victim was visiting the park when the suspect rode up on his bicycle.

The suspect manhandled the teenager, but Railsback declined to say whether she was sexually assaulted, or whether she was injured.

The man departed soon afterward and could not be located by officers, according to the police spokesman.

The suspect was described as thin, in his early 20s, wearing a gray T-shirt, dark-colored knee-length shorts, sneakers, a necklace, an American flag bandana that was partially covering his head and carrying a dark-colored backpack.

Photographs of the man are available at www.facebook.com/RiversidePD.

Anyone with information was asked to contact investigators at 951-353-7136.
